Turf restoration and design?

Restoring older artificial grass fields is something we're proud to be able to do at Turfix. Our Turfix artificial grass restoration team can add years to the lifespan of a field by spending just a few days returning it to its former glory.

If construction equipment or inclement weather damages your property, destroys garden beds, or destroys carefully contoured groundwater runoff channels, we can help. Our experienced teams will visit your site, inspect the damage and recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions. We will re-level turf surfaces, re-plant or re-plant damaged grass, replace affected trees and shrubs, and provide new runoff channels. We'll also provide you with estimates for any additional landscaping improvements you want.

When we're done, your property will look like new, maybe even better. Our expert gardening teams will inspect your property to determine if re-leveling is necessary. They will then design and implement a cost-effective solution. We use proven turf management and cultivation techniques, along with specialized equipment to restore grass quickly and affordably.

Walkways and grass panels were classified according to the new granite curbs that surround each turf panel, as well as for an underground drainage field. The irrigation system was an essential part of the project, which also included excavating and removing up to five inches of damaged soil, reengineering soils to resist soil compaction and improve drainage, one million gallons of underground tanks for collecting and reusing rainwater, and turf drought-resistant varieties and beautiful granite curbs to protect the edges of the lawn. Strategies were established to protect the grass that allow the preparation, protection and recovery of the grass. Walkways and grass panels were classified to flow into new subsoil drainage structures, while ADA-compliant granite curbs were designed to guide water to the cisterns and redefine the edge of the mall's grass panels.

The Trust for the National Mall supported the extensive restoration effort led by the National Park Service to reverse this damage and make the park sustainable for generations to come. The restoration of the grass on the panels between 3rd and 12th Streets was completed over four years, restoring 20 acres of grass along the National Mall and returning green to the front yard of the United States. The Trust for the National Mall is the National Park Service's main non-profit partner dedicated to restoring and improving the National Mall. Turf Center Lawns offers a complete planting service that ensures that your investment in gardening continues to improve your environment for years to come.
